Zfill actually consists of several fillers based on the endogenous substance
hyaluronic acid. These products are manufactured in laboratories owned by the
German company Zimmer Aesthetic Division

HOW DOES ZFILL WORK?

As we age, the production of hyaluronic acid decreases, reducing skin elasticity
and causing wrinkles, creases and lines. Hyaluronic acid is a connective tissue
substance present naturally in our skin. It is known to have enormous water-
binding capacity, which adds volume to the skin. Zfill adds more volume and
stimulates the skin cells, which evens out the wrinkles and creases while
improving skin texture. Zfill is a non-permanent filler which is metabolised in the
body as we age.

WHO QUALIFIES FOR ZFILL TREATMENT?

Men and women of all ages who have dry skin, wrinkles, creases or contours of
the face, which they want to change.

WHO SHOULD NOT USE ZFILL?

You should not undergo Zfill treatment if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
You do not qualify if you take some form of blood-thinning medication such as
Albyl, Trombyl and Waran. We are careful when treating people prone to keloids
(overgrown scar formations) with Zfill. Similarly, we are careful when treating
people with a tendency to develop hypertrophic scars which are characterised
by raised red scar lines. If you have used permanent fillers, we advise against
Zfill treatment in the same area. If you have been treated with hyaluron filler
from another manufacturer, you have to wait 6 months. We do not treat people
under 18 years with Zfill.

HOW DOES A ZFILL TREATMENT PROCEED?

The method is fast, safe and relatively gentle. You see the result quickly and, in
principle, you can go back to work immediately after the treatment. The area to
be treated is cleaned and washed off. Anaesthetic ointment can be used if
desired. After that, Zfill is injected with a thin needle. It can sting feel tight? The
added volume has a lifting effect on the wrinkles and you can notice the result
immediately.

WHAT TO THINK ABOUT AFTER THE TREATMENT

If any problems occur or if you feel unsure, you must contact your therapist
immediately. We recommend the following after a Filler:

• Avoid physical exercises for 24 hours.
• Avoid hot bath/sauna for 24 hours, shower instead.
• Do not massage the skin or you can unevenly move the product causing
  undesirable effects.
• If the skin is damaged, apply the prescribed germ-killing ointment, if necessary.
• Cold therapy can be used if any temporary discomfort occurs.
• Avoid strong sunlight immediately before and after the treatment. If it is
  impossible to avoid the Sun, use a high-factor sunblock. Try to plan your
  treatment in such a way as to avoid sun exposure immediately after the
  treatment.
• Light make-up can be applied shortly after treatment, preferably 4-6 hours
  afterwards.

WHAT EFFECTS TO EXPECT?

The effect of treatment becomes visible immediately. Some swelling is often
observed, but it subsides in a few hours or a day or two, and then you can see the
final result. You can expect some soreness and redness in the area for a couple of
days.

It is important to note that the result achieved with the help of non-permanent
fillers, just as the name suggests, are not permanent. The increased tissue
volume will go back to normal in 3-12 months depending on the filler product
used and the area it has been applied on. However, there are studies that show
that if a filler treatment is done within a few months after the first injection, the
lifting effect can be extended considerably.

WHAT DOES A TREATMENT WITH FILLERS MEAN?

Before

Start by arranging a meeting with a qualified therapist. Come to the consultation
prepared to discuss your personal requirements and expectations, and get
recommendations about which treatment with fillers suits you best. The
recommendations are based on what you want to achieve, your facial features
and personal lifestyle factors. After the consultation you will receive proper
treatment.

During the treatment

Small amounts of fillers are injected into the skin with a very thin needle. The gel
provides natural volume to smooth out lines and wrinkles, enhancing the shape
of the face or creating fuller lips. A filler that makes the skin more supple and
improves its texture, as well as restores and maintains its moisture balance. The
treatment is quick and usually takes 15-30 minutes. Treatment with fillers does
not affect facial expressions and the result generally becomes visible
immediately.

After

Our fillers are biodegradable, which means that they will naturally disappear
from the body. A follow-up treatment is usually necessary after 6-12 months
depending on individual factors and the area treated. Consult with your therapist
on when a follow-up treatment might be appropriate. Some reactions are
possible after the treatment. The most common ones are redness, swelling,
itching, bruising, pain and soreness. They are usually mild to moderate and often
disappear shortly after the injection. They usually disappear on their own within
a day or two after the treatment, but after certain treatments they may take
longer.

WHICH AREAS CAN BE TREATED?

Zfill can be used to even out lines and wrinkles on the face, create fuller lips and
shape facial features such as cheeks and chin, and rejuvenate the skin. The most
common treatment areas are:

• From the nose to the mouth lines (the nasolabial fold)
• Between the eyebrows (frown lines)
• The lips (volume and contour)
• The cheeks and chin (shape and contour)
• The back of the hand, cleavage, face, neck (skin rejuvenation)

Allergic reactions or other side effects to Fillers are extremely rare. As the
injections are given, redness, swelling, pain, itching, or bruising, among other
things, can occur. Typically, these reactions are mild and disappear within a few
days. Sometimes an inflammatory reaction can occur that causes redness,
swelling and hardening of the skin. If that is the case, it will usually disappear
within a few weeks. Residual scarring is very rare but in isolated and exceptional
cases permanent and visible changes can be observed.

You can always use Hyalas, which is a hyaluronic acid metabolising enzyme, to
break down and remove the injected hyaluronic acid. We have it available in our

Zfill has the advantage that you can see the effect of the injections immediately.
The skin becomes more supple, elastic and lustrous.

surgery procedures such as a facelift. Surgical interventions always involve some
